Community engagement and training have been key focuses during the first period of the Heartsafe NWE project. One of our primary goals is to build a robust network of trained citizen responders who can step in during the critical moments following a cardiac emergency. To support this, we have developed communication plans designed to recruit and train individuals in each of our pilot regions: Galway, Leuven, and Neuwied.
Through these initiatives, we aim to empower local residents to act quickly and confidently in emergency situations. The early stages of community outreach have been promising, and we look forward to continue our efforts to see all citizens become equipped with the skills and knowledge to make a difference when every second counts.
As we continue to prepare these training efforts, we aim to build stronger, more resilient communities that are prepared to respond effectively in the event of a sudden cardiac arrest.
